Is there a deposit to sign up?

Yes. A refundable security deposit of S$100 is required for all Hirers. Drivers under 22, drivers with less than 2 years' experience, and work pass holders pay an additional S$200, making S$300 in total. See How is my deposit refunded when I close my account?.
